Thesis discussion using recycling metallic materials, Al alloy (A201), in preparation composite materials with different weight fraction of silicon carbide and boron nitride, (2%, 4%, 6%, 8%), by casting method.
The results show that the higher hardness can be obtained at adding (6%)ofboron nitride, (150.7) V.H, while higher hardness for composite contain silicon carbide was when adding (8%) silicon carbide, (131.1) V.H. wear rate decrease gradually with increasing weight fraction of nano powders, the lower wear rate was when adding (6%) of boron nitride, and (8%) of silicon carbide, maximum tensile strength had increasing at all nano powder additions, finally, corrosion resistance had increasing by adding nano particles comparing with based metallic alloy, and recycle materials can use for marine applications.
The thesis had been scenically evaluated by Assist Prof Dr. Mohsen Abed Allah, Baghdad University/ Department of Mechanical Engineering, and linguistically by Assist Prof Dr. Samir Ali Amen, University of Technology/ Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The discussion took place at higher studies hall / building C, and master degree had been granted to student.
