The Honorable Advisor to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Hassan Attia, accompanied by the President of the University of Technology the  Honorable Prof.  Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, the conduct of the competitive examination for applying for postgraduate studies in the Department of Materials Engineering, on Thursday 19/5/2022, and they were received by the the esteemeds head of the department, Prof. Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber  and the scientific assistant professor. Dr. Jawad Kazem Aliwi, and during the tour, they reviewed the mechanisms and the type of questions and their difficulty , and the Ministry's advisor valued the efforts made by the department, the exam committee and all cadres to serve the students and provide their needs, wishing everyone continued success and success in the service of our dear students.

At the conclusion of the activities of the ninth cultural season for the Department of Materials Engineering for the academic year 2021-2022, the Head of the Department of Materials Engineering honored The Honorable Asst. Prof .Dr. Hussain Alaa Jaber, awarded certificates, shields and medals to the  Chairman and members of the ninth cultural season committee, . the Honorable administrative Deputy   Asst. Prof .Dr. Laith Waddah Ismail,  gave department shield, to the honorable head of the department, The Honorable Asst. Prof .Dr. Hussain Alaa Jaber, for his continuous support and support to all members of the department.

The Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology held intellectual competitions for students at 9 am on Thursday 19/5/2022 in the Graduate Studies  Doctoral Hall , which is one of the activities of the ninth cultural season. The competitions included general questions between students of the branches of general materials engineering, ceramics and polymers. , the General Materials Engineering Branch team won this year Compotation's  
At the end of the competition, the gifts  was given  to the participating teams by the Head of the Materials Engineering Department, The Respectable Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber.

The teaching staff  Ms. Ruaa Haitham Abdul Raheem from the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology has got  a scientific promotion from the Title  of Lecturer  to the Title   of assistant professor After fulfilling all the requirements of scientific promotion while enjoying all the rights and privileges conferred on this title , according to the university order No. SP/193 dated 5/2022

The Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology held a scientific lecture entitled: "Nanotechnology and Building Materials" in the Doctoral Hall in the Department of Materials Engineering at 9 am on Wednesday 18th of May 2022, and it is one of the activities of the ninth cultural season. The lecture was given by Senior Chief of Engineers Zina Faisal Khudair, the lecture included the uses of nanotechnology and its applications in concrete, paint and building materials.
At the end of the lecture, the appreciation certificate and shield were distributed to the lecture by the Head of the Materials Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber, the respected
