Assist Prof. Dr. Hussain Alaa Jaber- materials engineering department/ university of Technology attended the defend as a committee member of master student Laith Haleem Abdul Hussain under his thesis title “Study the effect of ceramic nano-coating thermal – light isolation of metals in the heat exchangers system kufa cement plant as case study”. The defend occurred on Sunday 04/11/2021.

Teaching staff ( Dr. Akram Rahim Jabr), Department of Materials Engineering/ University  of Technology,  obtained a scientific promotion from assistant professor to professor. This is because he meets all the requirements for academic promotion while enjoying all the rights and privileges that entitles him to this rank according to the university letter 126 on 29/3/2021.

Prof. Dr. Ahmad Hasan Algaban, the chancellor of the university of technology appreciated the special efforts with thanks letters awarded to Prof. Dr. Akram Raheem Jabr and to Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kashkool Alwan at Materials Engineering Department for their special publications with (Publons), in March/ 30^th, 2^th/ 2021, respectively.

Materials Engineering Department stuff set up a routine cleaning for coronavirus in April, 12^th, 2021 under the direction of Materials Engineering Department chair, assistant prof. dr. Husayn Alaa, to avoid spread covid- 19 as much as possible as a procedure to do in person- first semester final exam of the undergraduate students in the department.

On Monday, 12/4/2021, the undergraduate students of the Department of Materials Engineering / University of technology started the final attendance examinations for the first semester for the academic year 2020-2021.

On Tuesday, 13/4/2021, the progress of the exams was followed up by the head of the Department, Assist. Prof.  Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber, and the Scientific Assistant Lec. Dr. Muhannad  Najah Jawad.

The examinations were conducted under the supervision of the chairman of the examination committee in the department of materials engineering, Assist. Prof. Dr. Nahidh Mahmoud Ali. Precautions of social distancing and masks wearing have been applied in the examinations.
