Abstract
This work aims to use the Fused Deposition Modeling technique, which is one of the three-dimensional printing techniques to manufacture samples of a composite material with a polymeric basis of (ABS) reinforced with glass fibers and carbon fibers separately in different weight ratios (1%, 2 %, 3%, 4%) for the purpose of studying the effect of fiber content and type on the mechanical and physical properties of the manufactured part. The work methodology included the use of the Taguchi method in designing experiments and the MOORA technique to obtain the optimal selection of a number of factors for all characteristics at the same time. The results showed that with the increase of the fiber content, there was a gradual improvement in the mechanical performance, and the highest percentage of improvement in the mechanical properties was achieved when 4% of the fiber content was added, and the physical performance decreased in terms of surface finish.

After the discussion committee recorded its observations on the thesis, which were divided between explanation, correction, and the student’s defense of her Thesis  and the discussion ended, the committee decided to Accept  the thesis, and decided to grant the student a master’s degree with a Pass grade

Abstract:
The main purpose of this work is compare the effects of incorporation of (TiO2, Al2O3 and SiO2) nanoparticles on the phase structure, microstructure, and morphology of the nanocomposite coatings synthesized by electroless deposition technique. a design of experiments (DOE), the desirability-based Taguchi orthogonal array (OA), is designed and the influence of the factors are evaluated using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Desirability functions have been used for single optimization and multi-response optimization (multi-objective optimization). According to the single optimization results, the optimal parameters of (EN) coating process are (corrosion rate (0.120 mmpy), Nano material (SiO2), bath temperature (80°C), plating time (40min.), microhardness (516.2667 HV), bath temperature (100 °C), plating time (120 min.). From (ANOVA) results, it is observed that the Nano material has the most significance effect on the composite desirability of (EN) coating. (SEM) characterization showed that the surface of (EN) coatings is smooth, low porosity, and dense. Corrosion measurements have proven that the corrosion resistance of low carbon steel increases with the presence of (SiO2) Nano-particle.
