Prof. Ahmad Hasan Algaban awarded a congratulation letter to Assistant Prof. Husayn Alaa Jaber for being the department chair of Materials Engineering Department, in December/22/2019.

Prof. Ahmad Hasan Algaban, the chancellor of the university of technology appreciated the special efforts with thanks letters awarded to:

1. Prof. Alaa Abdul- Hasan Atiya at Materials Engineering Department for his support in scripts designing, in November/10/2019.
2. Assistant Prof. Fadil Abbas Hashim at Materials Engineering Department for directing the department as a department chair in the last few months, in December/19/2019.
3. Dr. Basma Hashim Muhammad at Materials Engineering Department for fulfilling the job of 2019 summer training of students.

The Department of Materials Engineering / University of Technology held a meeting of the General Assembly headed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber, Head of the Department,   Sunday, 19/1/2020, at twelve o'clock  in the hall of the Department Council. Several points were issued , including ministerial instructions regarding the dates for the resumption and completion of the first and second semester, the schedule of student attendance and commitment to the dates of the lectures, as well as the campus of the  University should stay away from  political matters

On Monday 2/12/2019, a meeting was held between the national classification committee of the Department of Materials Engineering/ University of technology and the Ministerial Committee for national classification of the quality of Iraqi universities at the head of the University / University Council Hall. In this meeting, the performance of the Department of Materials Engineering was evaluated for the academic year 2017-2018 after presenting the evidence and attachments of the activities of our department in the above mentioned academic year.

The president of the University of technology; Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghaban; decided to form a university committee for the purpose of following-up the mechanism of the acknowledgement letter awarding. Assis. Prof. Dr. Jawad Kadhim olaiwi; Depertment of Materials Engineering; was one of the committee members.
