Abstract
This work aims to use the Fused Deposition Modeling technique, which is one of the three-dimensional printing techniques to manufacture samples of a composite material with a polymeric basis of (ABS) reinforced with glass fibers and carbon fibers separately in different weight ratios (1%, 2 %, 3%, 4%) for the purpose of studying the effect of fiber content and type on the mechanical and physical properties of the manufactured part. The work methodology included the use of the Taguchi method in designing experiments and the MOORA technique to obtain the optimal selection of a number of factors for all characteristics at the same time. The results showed that with the increase of the fiber content, there was a gradual improvement in the mechanical performance, and the highest percentage of improvement in the mechanical properties was achieved when 4% of the fiber content was added, and the physical performance decreased in terms of surface finish.

The Lecturer Mr. Jabbar Hussain Muhammad Hussain from the Department of Materials Engineering/University of Technology, received a scientific promotion from the rank of Lecturer to assistant professor, due to his fulfilling all the requirements for scientific promotion, while enjoying all the rights and privileges conferred on him by this rank, according to the university order No. SP /443 dated 2021/ 11/3
