(Fabrication nano polymer composite super absorbent from harmful Eichhornia herb and using in the reinforcement of concrete, combating desertification and Bed of Rheumatism patients)

The patent included the recruitment of the high absorbency status of the harmful Eichhornia herb to be used in the manufacture of nano polymer composite super absorbent, In this process, the damage of this plant has been reduced on the other hand in several applications such as increasing the strength of the concrete and increasing its hardening times (thus facilitating its circulation), and to maintain the warmth of the bed of rheumatism patients for a longer period and to rationalize irrigation water and combat desertification.

Where the cellulose was extracted from the harmful Eichhornia herb and then converted to a soluble derivative, sodium carbonoxide methyl cellulose using appropriate physiochemical and chemical treatments. To manufacture the super absorbent, sodium carbonate methyl cellulose (extracted from the harmful Eichhornia herb) was used with cornstarch and alum as a crosslinking agent and nano-graphite oxide. The behavior of the swelling was studied with different saline solutions concentrations and different PH. The absorption of these compounds showed a significant effect on the pH and a clear decrease with increased concentration of saline solution.

Addition of nano particles increased the absorption of the prepared polymer mixture by 20%. The super absorption composite proved that it can be used in applications of concrete cementation, beds thermal of rheumatism patients for long periods of time, and combating desertification due to its high ability to rationalize irrigation water.
