Abstract

The study aimed to manufacture a biomaterial with good mechanical and biological properties from a composite material consisting of PMMA polymeric material reinforced with natural and ceramic nanoparticles using the ultrasonic mixing method in order to use it as articular cartilage. We investigated the effect of adding reinforcement materials on the mechanical, physical, and biological (in vitro and in vivo) properties of PMMA. The study found an improvement in the mechanical and biological properties of PMMA with the addition of natural and nano-ceramic materials.

The thesis discussion was conducted in a scientific atmosphere and a PhD degree with grade of pass was awarded to the student after the completion of all the corrections that have been decided by the examiners.
