Novel photocatalytic polyether sulphone ultrafiltration (UF) membrane reinforced with oxygen-deficient Tungsten Oxide (WO2.89) for Congo red dye removal
Abstract
The research aims to prepare an ultrafiltration membrane of polyether sulfone reinforced with tungsten dioxide (WO2.89) particles in different proportions, which has photocatalytic properties. The membrane was prepared by phase inversion method, and then the necessary characterization was performed using scanning electron microscope, atomic force microscopy, porosity examination and contact angle measurement, in addition to the membrane performance test. The results showed good microstructures and distinct porous properties with suitable contact angle. The membrane showed a high performance in removing red Congo from polluted water.

Abstract:
The aim of the project is to improve the erosion resistance of copper-beryllium alloy and Studing the effect of treatment on erosion properties, hardness, and microstructure including methods that are cryogenic treatment, plasma nitriding coating, and other heat treatments such as annealing, solution treatment, and aging. The nitriding showed an improvement in erosion resistance and hardness. Finally, it can be concluded that the better treatment processes that enhance the erosion wear resistance of Be-Cu alloy are the solution treatment followed by aging (1hour) and then nitriding (10 hours).
