Abstract:
This work is an attempt to increasing corrosion resistance of SS 316 L through coating with CeO2/β-TCP composites by RF sputtering technique at constant conditions. The composites include the substitution of cerium oxide in TCP lattice structure with seven weight percents. Many techniques were used to confirm the substitution involve XRD, FESEM/EDS and AFM, generally, (60%CeO2/40%TCP and 70%CeO2/30%TCP) gave the best substitution.
Some biological properties were measured for coated SS 316L specimens inculding antibacterial, good biocompatibility and ability to osseointegration. Some mechanical properties were tested included adhesion and microhardness. Electrochemical property (Corrosion) in SBF at 37oC was tested to measure corrosion data.

Abstract:
This study includes the preparation of porcelain samples from different compositions. It also comprises the possibility of adding different melting materials, including (fluorescent candles glass waste (FLGW), borax) to porcelain material samples in different proportions as a substitute for potassium feldspar and studying its effect on the sintering behavior, microstructure, physical properties, mechanical properties and thermal conductivity of porcelain samples. The results manifested that increasing the percentage of potassium feldspar in porcelain samples led to improve physical properties, mechanical properties, and decreased thermal conductivity. The addition of flux materials caused a decrease in the sintering temperature to (1000ºC) when adding 5 wt%. of waste fluorescent candle glass and to (950ºC) when adding 5 wt.% of borax, compared to samples without addition, which required a sintering temperature of (1225ºC) to obtain the appropriate physical and mechanical properties. When increasing the proportion of flux in the porcelain samples to 10 wt%, it led to the formation of closed pores in the samples, and this resulted in to a reduction in the physical and mechanical properties of the porcelain samples.

Abstract:
This study included the stir casting process that was used to manufacture the recycled materials of (ZA-12) composites with different weight percentages of nanoparticles and with using of aluminum scrap (AA 2024), pure Al (electrical wires) and zinc scraps. Mechanical tests results confirmed that the hardness and the compression increased with increasing the hybrid nanoparticle's percentage, whereas the wear rate decreased as the reinforcing materials was increased. Since nanoparticles restrict dislocation movement, the mechanical properties are enhanced.
The high hardness was obtained for the composite (ZA-12/(3%BN+3%SiC)). With increasing the addition of nano (BN and SiC) particles to the zinc - aluminium matrix, it has been observed that wear rate values have steadily decreased.
The result has revealed that the compression strength improved in certain situations with an increasing weight percentage of the nano ceramic particulates. The highest increase that is in (ZA-12/ (3%BN + 3% SiC)) composite, and the least being in (ZA-12) alloy.

Abstract:
The poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA) powder was used to prepare bio-composite coating layers by dry electrostatic spray method on stainless steel (SS) 316L as a substrate. Different weight percentages (wt%) of dry powders were mixed to form a composite mixture consisted of (5, 10, 15, and 20) wt% Al2O3 and TiO2 with (95, 90, 85, and 80) wt% of PMMA as matrix material. The ceramic powder additives were studied in Four Groups: (A, B, C, and D). The morphology, particle size, chemical compositions, micro-hardness, adhesion strength, ion release behavior, FTIR, and DSC tests of the polymer composite coating layers were characterized.
