Abstract:
The study aimed to utilize geopolymer, represented by metakaolin material, treated with alkaline solutions (NaOH, KOH, and Na2SiO3), as an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional cement and brick for the production of geopolymer bricks used in thermal insulation. Nanomaterials (nano clay, nano zirconia, nano talc) were added to enhance its strength and reduce thermal conductivity. Mechanical and physical tests, as well as other characterization techniques such as FTIR, XRD, FESEM, EDX, and DSC, were conducted after 28 days of curing. The results showed an improvement in compressive strength, Hardness, and a decrease in the thermal conductivity of the manufactured brick samples.

Abstract:
The study aimed to produce titanium and chromium cobalt alloys using silicon and niobium as 5% alloying elements by powder metallurgy for implants in orthopaedic applications. These alloys were coated by a multi-flame thermal spraying process using two different types of Nano coating (Type A: 75% hydroxyapatite + 25% silicon carbide), (Type B: 75% zeolite + 25% zirconia). Surface characterization, mechanical, chemical and biological properties were performed for each sample. The best results were achieved after adding alloying elements and coating them with Nano-coating.

Abstract
The research aims to manufacture silicon solar cells and improve the efficiency by deposition of nano-films of TiO2, ZnO , enhancing the efficiency of the solar cell using nanotechnology. Silicon cells were fabricated using the pulsed laser deposition technique with different thicknesses and a constant temperature of 300 ˚C and a laser pulse (250) using laser energy (700,800, and 900mJ). The results showed that nano-films (TiO2, (ZnO) enhanced the efficiency of the solar ce.

Abstract
The thesis aimed to study the effect of coating layer on biological behavior and bacterial activity of Magnesium implant, as well as to study the effect on surface properties, wettability and ion release rate of Mg ions. Surface pretreatment methods was used for Magnesium implants which are (Laser pretreatment and Chemical pretreatment), and then the surface was coated with composite layer (Polycaprolactone matrix reinforced with MgO Nano-powder with different percentages (0.5%, 0.75%, 1%). The result was that the use of surface pretreatment methods improved the surface properties and enhanced the adhesion between the coating and the substrate. Also, the use of coating material (PCL + MgO Nano-powder) enhanced the biological activity and anti-bacterial effect of magnesium implant, in addition to reduce the ion release rate.
