Abstract
In this study, the Properties of a polyester-based composites, using nanoparticle fillers ((TiO2) and (SiO2), were investigated. The mechanical, physical, miscibility and morphology tests were studied Moreover, buckling analysis of nanocomposite plates with cutout was investigated including the effect of design parameters such as cutout shape, size, position, direction, number of cutouts etc. in addition to the plate aspect ratio on the buckling behavior and comparing the experimental and numerical results. The main conclusion was that the presence of cutout could equally well raise the buckling load just as much as lower it. On the other hand, the experimental results were better than the numerical results with percentage (2.3-8.2%). Nanocomposite plates are utilized as underlying parts in aviation, auto and marine designing constructions. Patterns are generally set up as access ports in electrical and mechanical structures or only for decreasing weight.

Abstract
This work aims to prepare hybrid composite materials to evaluate their behavior under ballistic impact experimentally and numerically. Multilayered armors were designed as ceramic/woven fabric reinforced epoxy/metal or polymer layer. In experimental ballistic tests, a 9 mm Full Metal Jacket FMJ bullet was launched at 307 m/s towards armor 30*30 cm2. The Finite Element Method (FEM) is used to simulate the ballistic impact resistance of the armor. The results from simulation and experimental testing were compared with ballistic tests and there was a good agreement of these results.

Abstract
The study aimed to enhance corrosion properties for low carbon steel surface by using flame thermal spraying technique to deposit a Ni-Cu (Monel) protective coating overlay. The optimum coating parameters were (125 mm (level 2) spray distance, 30 g (level 3) N10 powder rate, substrate surface roughness, 50 mm/min (level 2) gun carrier transverse velocity). The results of SEM show the coating layer is rich in Ni-Cu, which makes it more resistant to corrosion. XRD showed the Cu and Ni-Cu phases. The erosion rate was measured by using 3.5% NaCl solution showed the minimum weight loss (0.00166 mm/year).

Abstract
In this study, plant extract (wild clary) are tested and applied to steel (AISI l015) to prevent its corrosion in two mediums of sea water and 0.5 M HCl using electrochemical studies at three temperatures (298, 318, 338 K) by adding five concentrations of the extract (5, 10, 15, 20, 25) mL /L. The inhibition efficiency was found to be excellent, reaching 83.078% at a concentration of 20 (ml/L) and a temperature of 298 (K), which is the best concentration in seawater, and 92.944% at a concentration of 25 (ml/L) and a temperature of 298 (K) which is the best concentration in an acid medium hydrochloric.

Abstract
The main objective of this research is to acquire high tribological surface properties by improving the hardness and erosion resistance of alloy 2024, and to study the effect of heat and surface treatments on the hardness and erosion properties. Several heat and surface treatments were applied. These treatments are annealing, solution and aging treatment, plasma nitriding, and duplex surface treatment, which includes plasma sputtering followed by plasma nitridation. The microstructure, hardness and mechanical wear resistance of this alloy were checked before and after each treatment. An erosion tester was manufactured locally to measure the wear resistance of this alloy. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Vickers hardness were used to characterize the results. The results showed that each treatment differently affects the microstructure, wear resistance and hardness of this alloy.
The discussion of the dissertation was conducted in a scientific atmosphere and a master's degree with grade of pass was awarded to the student after the completion of all the corrections that have been decided by the examiners.

Abstract
316L stainless steel alloys are extensively used in orthopedic applications for the fixations and substitutions of defective bone tissues in the human body. this study attempts to increase the alloy's resistance against corrosion, and improve the bone-implant interaction by encouraging the osseointegration while maintaining its good mechanical properties, through applying a modified coating layer of PMMA-based composites with two different bio-active ceramics i.e. hydroxyapatite and titanium carbide as reinforcement materials using dry electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) under constant conditions. The biological behavior of the coated samples was studied by investigating their corrosion, antibacterial, and wetting attributes. The results revealed that a high surface wettability, good osteoconductivity, improved antibacterial, and anticorrosion attributions were also observed.

Abstract
The study aimed to improve and reduce bacterial growth and environmental pollution by using ceramic nanoparticles powders included in cement mortar. Cement mortar modified by Nano-Composite Powders (NCPs) was fabricated in order to study the effect imposed by these NCPs on the biological, physical and mechanical properties. The NCPs that were used in this study are (CuO-MgO, CuO-ZnO, and CuO-CoO). These NCPs were prepared by the sol gel method. The results show CuO-MgO, CuO-ZnO and CuO-CoO NCPs give improvement in the physical, mechanical and biological properties to a greater extent than the control cement mortar without NCPs and specifically anti-bacteria and toxicity property.
After the discussion, the committee recorded its notes on the thesis, which were split between explanation and correction, and the student’s defense of her work and the discussion ended. The committee decided to evaluate the thesis and grant the student a doctorate degree with a full grade.
