The Materials Engineering Department at the University of Technology grants a master's degree to the student, Noor Ali Nasser, in the Materials Engineering Department at the University of Technology for her thesis entitled "Enhance the Silicon Solar Cell Efficiency by Nano Thin Films Coating." The discussion was held in the Postgraduate Studies Hall in Building B in the department on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 9:00 am. The discussion committee consisted of:

Prof. Dr. Abdul Kadhim Hadi, Chairman

Assoc. Prof. Khaled Khudair Abbas, Member

Assoc. Prof. Mohannad Najah Jawad, Member

Assoc. Prof. Kazem Matar Shabeeb, Supervisor

Assoc. Prof. Iyad Kadhim Mohsen, Supervisor

In addition to the scientific evaluation of the thesis by Assoc. Prof. Raouf Mohammed Raouf/ University of Mustansiriya/ College of Engineering/ Materials Engineering Department, and Assoc. Prof. Makram Abdulmutalib Fakhry/ University of Technology/ Laser and Optics Engineering Department, and linguistic evaluation by Assoc. Prof. Layth Wadhah Ismail/ University of Technology/ Materials Engineering Department.

After the examination committee registered their comments on the thesis, which were distributed between explanation and correction, and after the defense of the student for her thesis was completed, the committee adjourned to evaluate the thesis. They decided to grant the student a master's degree with a fulfilling grade.

Abstract

The research aims to manufacture silicon solar cells and improve the efficiency by deposition of nano-films of TiO2, ZnO , enhancing the efficiency of the solar cell using nanotechnology. Silicon cells were fabricated using the pulsed laser deposition technique with different thicknesses and a constant temperature of 300 ˚C and a laser pulse (250) using laser energy (700,800, and 900mJ). The results showed that nano-films (TiO2, (ZnO) enhanced the efficiency of the solar ce.
