Abstract
In this study, different laminated composite materials were suggested for modifying the prosthetic socket in order to increase its life and make it more comfortable for its user. Seven laminated composite materials were prepared by using the vacuum molding technique. The matrix material is Lamination80:20 (PMMA) and reinforced by (hemp, Carbon, Glass, Kevlar, and Perlon) fibers with different numbers of layers. The experimental work included mechanical, physical, and miscibility tests. After comparing between laminated composites, hybrid lamination consisting of (4hemp plus 2carbon)   is considered to have best mechanical and physical properties such as tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, flexural strength, flexural modulus, max. shear stress, compression strength, impact strength, fracture toughness, and hardness. In addition, it has a lower percent elongation and creep strength than the hybrid laminations made of (4hemp plus 2kevlar) and (4hemp plus 2glass).
