90 students were accepted in the academic year 2017/2018. The department aspires to admit 120 students in the next year.

Admission requirements for Undergraduates students
General Conditions of Application:
1- an Iraqi nationalist
2- Holds the Iraqi school certificate or an equivalent certificate to it.
3- Successfully Pass the medical examination according to the specific conditions of each study.
4 - full time to study and cannot combine between both job and morning study.
5- The application for graduates of the Secondary course for the two scientific branches (applied, biomedical) and literature for the current academic year 2016/2017 and the previous one who did not show them a central admission and according to the regulations listed for each specialization, provided that they do not attend evening or private studies.
6 -The application is allowed exclusively for graduates of the preparatory school for professional and Islamic branches (except graduates of external examinations in the secondary schools of the two waqfs) for the current academic year 2016/2017 and according to the regulations listed for each specialization.
7- Students who are accepted are allowed centrally from the graduates of the two branches.
8 -The student should be born in 1993 upwards.
9 -All students applying for a college test are subject to competition for admission and the competitive test is calculated on the basis of (55%) of the rate of the student in the preparatory school and (45%) to the degree of the test.
10-The duration of the application is one month. The successful students and the supplements referred to in paragraphs 5 and 6 above are entitled to apply for admission.
11-The college / university shall announce the results of the test in the bulletin board one week after the end of the period specified in paragraph 10 above.
12-Students are informed upon submission and clearly and explicitly that "the student is acceptable within the channel of direct admission, withholding his name from the central acceptance.
13-The results of the test shall be sent as an integer, with the number of fractions corrected in favor of the student.
14-The results shall be sent electronically to the successful students in the test only through the form designated for this purpose to the Department of Studies, Planning and Follow-up not later than two weeks from the end of the period specified in paragraph 10, for the purpose of taking procedures to show the results of admission and the names of those admitted to the Central Admission.
15-Admission is required for the student to succeed in the examination.
16-The process of showing acceptance of students within the channels of direct admission in the Department of Central Admission, depending on the results of the test sent by the colleges and rates of students according to the ratios set for the calculation of the competitive rate, and only after the issuance of lists of acceptance by the Ministry.
17-The applicant may not apply for more than one hand for direct admission, and the student may not apply for withdrawal and cancel his admission after the results of admission are announced.
18-Students with martyrs kinsman may apply for admission channels
